10 - 2 probes (CB)
12 - Gateway (at 150 minerals, may be before 12)
12 - 2 probes (CB)
13 - 1st Assimilator (3 probes on it immediately)
16 - 2nd Pylon
* 16 - Zealot if playing Zerg, save for the Stalker if not
18 - Cybernetics Core (Spend further CB's on Warpgate, research as soon as Core finishes)
18/19 - 2nd Assimilator
20 – Twilight Council
* 19/20 - Stalker (T or P) / Zealot (Zerg)
22 - 2nd Gateway
23 - 3rd & 4th Gateway
24/25 - 3rd Pylon
25/26 – Dark Shrine
26 - Warpgate finishes, transform your Gateways and build a 4th Pylon.
26 - Warp in your first set of 4 units (sentry, zealot, 2x stalkers is a good start). Mix your composition up, 2 is a good number.
34 – Warp in a set of Dark Templars. I use 4. Send them over to your enemy, if you warped in 4 you may want to leave 1 for defense. If they did not build detection, enjoy your victory.http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-52826568473255086022010-10-25T13:46:00.001-07:002010-10-25T13:46:59.409-07:00Tips and Trickshttp://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-14939181857223632732010-10-13T16:49:00.001-07:002010-10-13T16:49:31.056-07:00TLO vs Nada- TvThttp://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-6297474988739502342010-10-03T10:39:00.000-07:002010-10-03T10:39:30.282-07:00Huk vs HasHe PvT Great game.http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-61839413290754456472010-10-03T10:35:00.000-07:002010-10-03T10:35:01.072-07:00Hard counter against Terran as ProtossThe General Strategy:

This strategy is an early game strategy, designed to get you to the midgame with an advantage over your opponent using stalkers and void rays. After that, I will leave you with some ideas to finish off your opponent, but it ultimately comes down to the situation and personal preference.

The goal of this strategy is to abuse the mobility, range and shield regeneration of very early stalkers, void rays, and warp gates to make it very difficult for the terran to attack you or expand, allowing you to expand, tech, or just win outright. It also allows for a fluid, easy transition into zealot/templar for the mid game, and tends to force the T to get an anti-armoured and anti-air mid-game composition, making your zealot/templar even stronger.

The key is to put constant, non-stop pressure on the T starting at about the 4:30 point, preserving your troops while whittling away theirs, and only engaging in a full battle on your own terms.

To do this, get stalkers quickly and send them to your opponent's ramp as soon as they spawn. You should aim to get them there early enough that only a couple of terran units are made. Push up their ramp and take pot shots at the marines/marauder, or their wall if they pull their troops back, and then just fall back and let your shields recharge; rinse and repeat. The key is to try to hurt as many soldiers as possible (since medivacs are a long way off), and to damage the wall so you can snipe scvs if he goes to repair. Keep reinforcing with more stalkers and do more harass.

Avoid making more than 2 gateways until you have a stargate. It is likely that your opponent's build will skew towards marauders and/or tanks since stalkers are so good against marines and hellions. When resources permit it, tech to void ray (I usually begin my stargate when I have between 2 and 4 stalkers). The void rays tend to start popping when I have approximately 6 stalkers and 3 warp gates. The void rays provide an alternative method of harass, can give vision of the ramp to your stalkers, and can shoot the SD's and barracks that are walling the ramp if they have chosen to put them there. It is so easy to micro your void rays when there are a bunch of stalkers underneath that outrange marines, or if the terran has their own wall blocking their way.

If you continue this harass, and avoid committing to close battles with the terran army, you should gain enough of an advantage to be able to safely expand or tech. Not only that, but you shouldn't lose many units if your micro is crisp, ideally leaving you with an economic and army advantage.http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-81070937005818780772010-09-13T23:51:00.000-07:002010-09-13T23:51:04.405-07:00Idra vs Silverhttp://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-28845646081471041322010-08-30T23:26:00.000-07:002010-08-30T23:26:34.616-07:00Best Anti Cheese EVER!!!http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com24tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-33797979192352671992010-08-29T09:14:00.000-07:002010-08-29T09:14:14.235-07:00Voidray Rush

The Void Ray Rush (VRR) is a simple opener that has been getting a lot of attention lately because of how easy it is to perform. Every Protoss should have it in their arsenal if for no better reason than to scare their opponents out of an all-in ground army. This build is effective against Zerg especially, but Protoss as well. Despite some small amount of success, it is not that great against Terrans, because it is countered by 3-4 marines (a very common starting build for a Terran).

9 - Pylon
10 - 2 probes (CB)
12 - Gateway (at 150 minerals, may be before 12)
12 - 2 probes (CB)
13 - 1st Assimilator (3 probes on it immediately)
14/15 – 2nd Assimilator (2-3 probes)
16 - 2nd Pylon
* 16 - Zealot if playing Zerg, save for the Stalker if not
18 - Cybernetics Core (Warpgate research when it is finished, don't CB it)
20 – Stargate
22 – 2nd Pylon (Voidrays are 3 supply, be PREPARED do not get supply blocked, it will significantly slow your rush)
23/24 – Voidray #1 (Push now if you can micro it well) (CB)
23/24 – Warpgate Technology, you aren’t always going to finish it with a VR.
27/28 – Voidray #2 (CB), push now if you waited.
29/30 – Gateway #2, when you can afford it, Gateway #3.
30+ - Gateway #4, Warpgate should be finishing, go ahead and transition into a mid game build.http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-49303853983893218802010-08-28T15:26:00.000-07:002010-08-28T15:26:06.945-07:00Terran Basic Openerhttp://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-58219977737927911072010-08-28T13:20:00.001-07:002010-08-28T13:20:13.982-07:00Huk vs Silver Great Match.http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-50866331376456072212010-08-28T13:14:00.000-07:002010-08-28T13:14:37.222-07:00

Opening #1 - The Four Gate

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYURoBXkFeA

The Four Gate is the bread and butter of the Protoss starter package, every Protoss should know and master this as it can be used in almost all scenarios and provides you with an easy tech path to whatever you need to counter your opponent. It is strong against nearly every opening expect perhaps 6 pool (depending on when you get your Zealot), and neutral against a mass Marine/Marauder build (you will stalemate and take it into later game).

Build Order:

9 - Pylon 10 - 2 probes (CB)

12 - Gateway (at 150 minerals, may be before 12) 12 - 2 probes (CB)

13 - 1st Assimilator (3 probes on it immediately)

16 - 2nd Pylon * 16 - Zealot if playing Zerg, save for the Stalker if not

18 - Cybernetics Core (Spend further CB's on Warpgate, research as soon as Core finishes)

18/19 - 2nd Assimilator (I use 2 probes here for now, your call on unit composition)
http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-8735533494505252252010-08-28T11:35:00.001-07:002010-08-28T11:35:46.577-07:00250MM STRIKE CANNONDoes anybody really use this with their thors? I don't, seeing that several thors do enough damage to where this ability is kind of pointless. Is it good to use?http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-37858725850544320152010-08-28T08:26:00.001-07:002010-08-28T08:26:57.203-07:00uhhhThe other two races were fine.

I'm mostly a zerg player, and my friends are Terran and Toss players. We're not amazing, but my friends are plat players and im a gold (soon to be plat at this rate) player.

The three of us don't understand these decisions on blizz's part to nerf the other two races instead of just buffing the zergs early game/easing up the massive micro need.

Things like making the queen auto cast larva on the nearest hive, making the roach/hydra move a little faster, making the hydra t1.5 again, lowering food costs on the roach/hydra, lowering mineral costs on spine crawlers or increasing spine crawler range, lowering the cost of queens, making the spore crawler not take an evo chamber to build... etc etc.
All of those changes are decent ones to chose from to buff the zerg closer to the terran/toss early game! They should NOT be nerfing the ##%# outta the two races that are actually closer to being balanced!! http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-1046891338369882382010-08-28T08:23:00.001-07:002010-08-28T08:23:37.153-07:00Hey guys...I fuckin love you all....http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3096269919606479250.post-13865440091470779722010-08-27T12:41:00.000-07:002010-08-27T12:41:00.329-07:00Random SC2 TipsIm not sure what Blizzard was thinking when they made Siege Tanks (in Siege Mode) ridiculously, ridiculously overpowered. It's just bull****. Their range is so long that a skilled terran player will scan your base and destroy everything you have with only a handful of siege tanks sitting outside the range of your bunkers, photon cannons, and spine crawlers - so all those minerals you spent on defense are wasted until Blizzard finally nerfs the siege tanks in a patch. And dont bother attacking them, their damage and AOE are already very powerful, and combined the longest range in the game, your screwed. Vice versa, with a couple of anti-air towers, a terran with siege tanks guarding the rims of his base will not be penetrable. Their powerful range and damage would be tolerable if their range was not the longer than defenses (bunkers, photon cannons, and spine crawlers). That is the solution - NERF the range.http://starcraft2stuff6.blogspot.com/http://www.blogger.com/profile/13980564042247468509noreply@blogger.com3
